A conversion from offices for the local newspaper to a new 22 bedroom hotel, bar and restaurant.

The fine Grade II listed late Georgian property in the centre of Hertford had been much altered, but the front retained its imposing presence in the townscape. The existing frontage was carefully restored and extended to the rear to form a new and modern hotel interior. The Hertford House won a local conservation area award from the Hertford Civic Society.

The practice was also responsible for much of the interior detailing and has also prepared proposals to extend the premises into the adjoining listed building incorporating an additional storey at roof level.
