Phased refurbishment and extension works at a large Grade II* family home
At the western end of Holland Park Avenue, Royal Crescent comprises thirty-two grade II* listed buildings. Many are divided into flats but this property is a grand family home.
Refurbishment and extension works were carried out in four phases over an extended period, allowing the family to remain in the house while work took place floor-by-floor.
A sequence of two planning permissions and three listed building consents were negotiated with Kensington & Chelsea’s planning and conservation officers.
The six floor house, now with restored period details in the principal ground and first floor rooms, and a magnificent original stone and cast iron main stair, provides living accommodation on three floors, seven bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Location
The development is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.
